Another texture test

I've made a quick texture test on 1 part of the temple. I've mixed some photo refs and used Crazybump for extract the normals. Some 3dsmax scaneline renders :

Crazybump Test

Today I tested Crazybump and make some tests for create textures from photo refs. Another way to quickly texture the temple without making hightpoly models for normals.

Highpoly version updated

I've updated the highpoly version of the temple. I will add more details with zbrush (sculptures) and the final ones will come with the textures.

(TEST) Lowpoly column + normals map

Just a little update showing the lowpoly columns with the normals map(s). It's not perfect, I need to adjust the projection and make an unified texture (actualy the column is divided in different parts with separate texture).
It's here just for give an idea of the final result.

High Poly Column

I've advanced on the colum and created a detailed one. I will perhaps bring it later in zbrush for add more detail, but my next stage is to finish the lowpoly column and bake some normal map and then export it to the engine.

I think I will make the columns separate models and create different ones, so the final temple could be assembled in the editor.

Result of adjusting the parameters :

Actualy there is still artifacts and some parts that on't really like big changes (principaly in the hight poly parts), it's because i'm not familiarised with this workflow and need improuvement, but for small size change it work great. I could add more parameters for the stairs and the roof, but the file begin to be a mess. I need to create better nodes workflows in the futur :-)

First Nwn2 Custom content project : a small temple

Here begin my first nwn2 custom content project : a small temple, as a custom model placeable. I will try to make it simple for a first modeling project. I wish next to learn how bring it into nwn2 and preview it in the engine.

For the begining some photos ref used as a starter point:

I used Houdini because that allow me to build the temple with some variable in mind: if I change the base size or the height of the arch, all the structure is modified without any intervention from me. Really useful if i need to adjust the proportion in the last minute.
